Jelly Project #2 – Artist’s Room
I walk through objects; it is rare to touch the original walls of the building anymore. I want to see the space without burden of layers of objects to feel its possible emptiness, and I want to sit down to review the piled objects carefully. By recognizing the structure of their piling each other, would I see a hidden system which secretly controls my life? Will I be able to reveal it? In order to proceed with these attempts, I use jelly, notes, and photography to start the journey. Hopefully, after recognizing the original emptiness of the apartment, and after recognizing the system which hides behind the piled objects, I can also approach to the curiosity of creation itself: by the repetitive searches in the apartment, I would be able to examine my process of art making.
The Jelly Project combines several media to rethink the way of seeing, the way of representing and the way of understanding. Jelly is the centre medium, which dialogues with photography and text to examine ideas. It is a fictional documentation carrier, and I am using is to pursue the subjective recognition of time and space. |
